Birds
This series is created using steel and copper wire, and sheet copper, formed to capture the spirit of each bird.
Each character begins as a study in wire drawn from observing the birds in the wild. I try to capture their habits and mannerisms, as well as the sinew and shape of each bird. This series is near to my heart, each sculpture a one-of-a-kind, graced with its own unique gesture.
